PACKAGING GUIDELINES
Shipments should be packed so as to ensure that they will not damage any handling equipment, personnel or other cargo. The following are some packaging guidelines. For more detailed information, please call a Skypak Service Specialist.
Packaging Guidelines

Bulk StationeryPlastic lined gunny bag or cardboard box with plastic strapping.
Bulk BooksPlastic lined gunny bag or cardboard box with plastic strapping.
Bulk Movement Of Share Certificates, Share Forms, Bank InstrumentsPacked in sturdy cartons covered with a plastic lined gunny pack
Share Forms, Certificates, Bank Instruments In Small QuantitiesPlastic and/or cloth inner lined envelope sealed well with company’s masking tape.
CataloguesSturdy cardboard box or gunny bag with strapping.
Diaries / CalendarsSturdy cardboard box or gunny bag with plastic strapping.
Readymade GarmentsAll consignments to be packed in plastic bags. For bulk consignments use sturdy 2 to 3 ply cardboard boxes with adequate plastic strapping. For small quantities use self sealing translucent plastic pouches.
Cell Phones, Watches. Cameras, Radios, Film Rolls, Electronic SparesPacked in individual cardboard boxes protected within with thermocole packing. If in larger numbers, these items to be packed in a sturdy master cartons of 2 to 3 ply with plastic strapping.
Dyes, Cosmetics, ToiletriesIn sturdy high density plastic bottles protected in a plastic pouch and then thermocole boxes.
Medicines In sturdy high density plastic bottles protected in a plastic pouch and then thermocole boxes.
Audio / Video Cassettes, Compact DiscsApart from their individual packaging, further to be packed in cardboard boxes protected within with thermocole. If in larger numbers these items to be packed in a sturdy master cartons of 2 to 3 ply and plastic strapped.
Liquids (Only If Permitted For Air Carriage) Oils, Paints, ChemicalsTin, metal or sturdy plastic containers with proper seals to protect leakage and damage to other consignments. To be further packed in a cardboard boxes with thermocole packing.
ComputersThree ply (hard) cardboard box preferably with shrink-wrap plastic finish to protect it from water seepage.
Fax MachinesThree ply (hard) cardboard box preferably with shrink-wrap plastic finish to protect from water seepage.
PrintersThree ply (hard) cardboard box preferably with shrink-wrap plastic finish to protect it from water seepage.
ScannersThree ply (hard) cardboard box preferably with plastic finish to protect from water seepage.
TypewritersFour ply (hard) cardboard box.
Computer Peripherals (Toner, Cartridges, Accessories).Three ply (hard) cardboard boxes sealed well with masking tape.
Antennas (Dish, Cable, Cell Phone)Five ply (hard) cardboard with proper strapping.
Note: All Dangerous Goods should be packed in accordance with IATA regulations.
